| On July 23rd and July 24th Dan and Mary Lynn visited Margaret at her new home in Pennsylvania. As always, Margaret was a wonderful hostess. She has made a smooth adjustment to her new circumstances. Click here to see photographs of the trip. |

| On our return trip from Pennsylvania, Mary Lynn and Dan visited a soda shop in Buchanan, Va. It was a nostalgic moment for both. The world we knew as children was more personal than what we experience today. It was comforting to sit beneath ceiling fans, eating a hot dog and a grilled cheese sandwich. |

| Dan is becoming more mobile daily, with all the challenges for his parents associated therewith. |

Dan and his family visited the N.C. Zoo on July 27th. It looks like the chimp is more interested in Dan than Dan is interested in the chimp.
