I have always wanted to visit the Little Big Horn Battlefield where Custer was defeated by Sitting Bull.  Here Dan and Jeffrey are standing by the marker atop Last Stand Hill.
Mary Dana and I loved the time we had with Jeffrey.  Here he is standing atop a hill with Yellowstone Lake in the background.  The snow-capped Grand Tetons are on the horizon.
Yellowstone National Park was very crowded.  But we saw some awesome sites, such as Mammoth Hot Springs.
This was the first day of the trip.  Mary Dana and I visited Pompey's Pillar, where William Clark carved his name on the return trip eastward in 1806.
Sometimes the beauty was small and delicate.  A butterfly flutters among wildflowers in Yellowstone National Park
