| Dan loves trains and
trolleys. On the way to summer school he would park by the track and
wait for the Piedmont, an Amtrak passenger train that runs between Raleigh
and Charlotte. It was thrilling every time he saw it. |

| Jody and Erskine Ross are
restoring the Ross homeplace near Pineville. We hope to have family
reunions there in the future.

took a trip to the Rockies, both U.S. and Canadian. This is the ski
lift at Banff. Dan rode the same ski lift in 1957.
